Wang Anpu(Research Center for Eco- Environmental Sciences , Chinese Academy of Sciences)  
The atmospheric chemistry of pollution in China has been reviewed. The status of re-search on characterization of aerosols including their physicochemical properties and environ-mental behaviors and the transport , transformation and fate of pollutants together with theirchemical processes and modlings were elucidated. Some special analytical methods and sam-pling techniques were introduced. The prospects and strategy of developing atmosphericchemistry in China is also discussed.
