Pressurized Thermogravimetric Study on the Reaction of Desulfurization by Limestones and Dolomites

he desulfurization reaction of limestones and dolomites was studied by pressurized thermogravimetric analysis method.Results showed that the rate of converting CaCO3 to CaSO4 of four limestones and two dolomites is increasing with reaction time under conditions Of 0.85 MPa and 900℃,and the conversion rate is in range of 23.5a to 42% at 120 minutes. The conversion rate is drastically growing with temperature under conditions of 1.15 MPa and 750-950℃ at 120 minutes.The conversion rate was slowly and linearly increasing with pressure under condition Of 860℃.Finally, the reaction mechanism was discussed.
