Adsorption process of chromium(Ⅵ) in wastewater by modified bentonite

Organobentonite and Na-bentonite were prepared using bentonite taken in Ningming area through microwave dry process, and adsorption experiment of Cr(Ⅵ) in wastewater were carried out with the modified bentonite obtained. It is found that a Cr(Ⅵ) removal of 95% at initial pH 5.6 and 2 g/L organobentonite as well as adsorption time of 30 min can be obtained, through ion exchange adsorption and adsorption mechanism of the precipitation of HDTMA Cr(Ⅵ) complex salt.
