Removal of Cr~(3+) by the surface molecularly imprinted adsorbent by penicillium chysogenum mycelium in wastewater

The surface molecularly imprinted adsorbent synthesized by the method of molecular imprinting technology has been proved to be excellent to adsorb transition metal ions, especially in the removal of Cr 3+.The results show that the maximum adsorption capacity for Cr 3+ was about 60 mg/g and its adsorption behavior follows the equation of Langmuir. The absorption capacity is 50 mg/g when the initial concentration of Cr 3+ was 200 mg/g at pH 3~4.The ionic strength had negligible effect on the adsorption. The saturated absorbent can be desorbed by 0.5 mol/L nitric acid or sulfuric acid solution, with a 90% desorption rate of Cr 3+.
