Isolation,identification and decolorization characteristics of Reactive Black 5 decolorizing strain

Reactive Black 5 decolorizing strain GY-1 was isolated from the anaerobic sludge which applied in modified anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic(A2O) process for dyeing and finishing wastewater treatment.According to the morphological characteristics,physiological and biochemical,and sequence analysis of 16S rDNA,the strain was identified preliminarily as Enterobacter.The decolorizing of Reactive Black 5 by GY-1 was investigated to determine the effect of inoculated quantity,pH and temperature on decolorization efficiency.The optimum decolorization conditions were obtained as follow: inoculum amount was 8%,pH was 7.0,and 35 ℃.When in the initial dye concentrations ranged from 25 to 100 mg/L,the decolorization reaction can be described by one order kinetic characteristic.
