The performance of a pilot-scale biofilm reactor to treat wastewater from biomass gasification power plant

ZHANG Wenhua~1, TIAN Shen~1, QIAN Cheng~1, YANG Xiushan~1 (College of Life Science, Capital Normal University, Beijing100037)  
In order to reuse the biomass gasification wastewater, a kind of special bacteria were inoculated in the biofilter, which was filled with the waste potsherd. After the physical and chemical pretreatment, the wastewater was treated in the biofilter in different operation conditions. The results showed that when the HRT is 30?h (anoxic 20?h, aerobic 10?h), the bioreactor could remove the COD efficiently with the influent COD at 584~923?mg·L~(-1) ,the effluent COD at 118.5~230.2?mg·L~(-1), and the average COD removal rate reached 78.6%.
