Isotopic characteristics of Huluyu Gold Deposit in western Henan and its geological significance

Huluyu Gold Deposit is located in Xiaoshan mountain body,Huaxiong block in southern margin of the North China Craton. The outcroping stratum of the deposit is Taihua Group of Archaeozoic era. No sign of intermediate acidic intrusive bodies is observed. The orebody is mainly controlled by the NW trending fracture zone,mostly made up of structural altered rock,followed by the quartz vein. Ore-forming processes can be divided into quartz- pyrite stage,quartz- polymetallic sulfide stage and quartz- carbonate stage. Among them,quartz- polymetallic sulfide stage is the main stage for gold mineralization. In this stage,δD value of quartz ranges from- 79 ‰ to- 98 ‰,δ18OH2Ovalue from- 2. 20 ‰ to 6. 89 ‰,indicating the ore-forming fluidsare mainly magmatic water with addition of meteoric water. δ34S value of pyrite in ore is between 3. 8 ‰ and 5 ‰,the mean of 4 ‰; δ34S value of sphalerite is between 4 ‰ and5 ‰,the mean of 4. 5 ‰;206Pb /204 Pb value of ore minerals is between 17. 818 4 and 18. 023 3,the average is17. 933 3;207Pb /204 Pb is between 15. 516 7 and 15. 548 4,the average is 15. 536 2;208Pb /204 Pb is between 38. 226 4and 38. 322 7,the average is 38. 289 8. Isotopic compositions of sulfur and lead show that ore-forming materials mainly derived from the Yanshanian granite.
