Numerical analysis on bird impact resistance of arc windshield

ZANG Shu-guang, MA Juan-rong, QIN Hai-xia, SHI Xin-yong (China Building Materials Academy, Beijing 100024, China)  
Non-linear dynamic response finite element analysis program (DYNA3D) has been used to analyze the bird impact resistance of inorganic and organic laminated arc windshield. From an analysis of the testing results, windshield with the structure of 3. 5mm Glass + 2. 5mm PU+ 10PMMA can resist the bird impact at 550km/h.
