Research on Electromagnetic Scattering Characteristics and Radar Cross Section Reduction of Ventral Inlet

LI Qi-peng,WANG He-ping(College of Aeronautics,Northwestern Polytechnical University,Xi′an 710072,China)  
The Radar Cross Section(RCS) of Ventral Inlet has been investigated,with the method of Multilevel fast multipole algorithm for the established ventral S-inlet and fore body′s three-dimensional model.It includes the influence of the oblique type of inlet lip,hackle lips,the length of S-bend,flow deflector and the shape of fore body on head-on RCS of ventral inlet and the analysis of the inlet and fore body′s coupling scattering characteristics.Radar Cross Section Reduction(RCSR) and the main factor which affect head-on RCS of ventral inlet are found by comparing the performance of different parameter.This paper affords a technological basis for head-on RCSR of ventral inlet.
