THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF STAR GEARING WITH THREE BRANCHES

Northwestern Polytechnical University Fang Zongde and Shen Yunwen Guilin Army College Huang Zhendong  
By using the fourier series method, the motion differential equations of a star gearing with three branches has been solved. The responses of this system in frequency domain and time domain have been obtained. The dynamic loads on gear teeth, the dynamic load-balancing on each star gear and the floating locus of the centre of sun gear have been computed. The influences of connecting stiffnesses and run-outs on dynamic characteristics of the system have been analyzed. These quantitative analyses can provide the basis of optimal design for improving the dynamic behaviours of star gearings.
