Morphological structure of cadmium sulfide nanofilm prepared by electrodeposition

CdS nanofilm were prepared at the interface of surface active agents and electrolyte by electrodeposition and analyzed by SEM,XPS and X-ray diffraction.Microstructure analysis shows that the films are made up of CdS being hexagonal phase and cubic phase and Cd being hexagonal phase.The results of XPS show that the nanofilm consist of Cd and CdS and their mole ratio is about 1 ∶3.Lattice constant of the nanofilm was increased and lattice was expanded due to surface effect.CdS nanofilm was totally composed by globose particles with mean diameter of 50-60nm.
