Theoretical and Numerical Study of Elastic Wave in a Solid Cylinder Surrounded by an Elastic Solid

in this paper, the acoustic field exited by a symmetric point source in a solid surrounded by an isotropic elastic solid formation is investigated theoretically and numerically. The dispersion and excitation of the guided waves propagated along the axis of the cylinder are analyzed. It is found that the modes could be only excited when the shear wave speed of the formation is gMter than that of the cylinder. The modes don't attenuate and have the cutoff frequencies and Airy phases. The branch cut integrations along the branch points of the compressional and shear waves of the formation are also studied. There are many resonance peaks in the spectra of P and S waves.On the basis of analysing the components Whyes, the full-waveforms in the time domain are numerically investigated, and the pressunes in different parameters are calculated in deail.
