Design of FIR Filter in Structural Health Monitoring System

In wireless sensor networks for structural health monitoring system,we need to preprocess the data of node,so we designed a FIR(Finite Impulse Response) digital filter to node data processing digital filtering.In this design,we use the FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array) hardware platform.This design uses MATLAB/Simulink,DSP Builder software to model the digital filter,calculate filter coefficients,simulate system model and generate the corresponding VHDL project files.Quartus-II software is used to synthesis,compiler and debug the project file,and generates the corresponding underlying schematic modules.We simulate and filter the two mixed-signal sine wave of 1 kHz and 4 kHz.The results show that 4 kHz high-frequency interference signal is effectively filtered out to achieve the performance of the FIR filter.The design of FIR filter based on FPGA is achieved by downloading the generated VHDL code to the FPGA.
