Application of Adapt Therapy in Medicine Compliance of Patients with Schizophrenia

Objective To explore the effect of adapt therapy in medicine compliance of patients with schizophrenia.Methods 110 patients with schizophrenia were divided randomly into two groups: intervention group(55 patients) and control group(55 patients).Two groups all received systematic treatment of anti-schizophrenia medicine.Intervention group were given adapt therapy additionally.Control group received normal health education.Nurses had visited these patients for one year after they discharging.BPRS,ITAQ and medicine compliance questionnaire(self-made) were used to assess patients' status before they discharging and after discharging(four times).Results There were significant differences between two groups in the score of BPRS,ITAQ and medicine compliance questionnaire as well as frequency of being in hospital(P0.05).Conclusions Adapt therapy is effective for patients with schizophrenia medicine compliance since it improve medicine compliance of them and reduce relapse rate.
