In order to study the toxic effects of heavy metals on Paramecium, the concentration of heavy metal ion gradient preparation solution for large Paramecium under culture conditions of 25℃ for toxicity experiments. The results showed that lethal concentration(LC50)of Cu2+on Paramecium caudatum 12 h was0.090mg·L-1,24 hto 0.056mg·L-1;LC50of Pb2+on Paramecium caudatum 12 hwas 6.647mg·L-1,24hto3.213mg·L-1;LC50of Zn2+on Paramecium caudatum 12 hwas 6.180mg·L-1,24 hto 2.328mg·L-1.Cu2 +toxicity for Paramecium caudatum was higher than Pb2+and Zn2 +.
