Investigation and analysis on the general well-being and self-scaled health conditions of medical staff

Objective To study the subjective well-being and self-scaled healthy conditions of medical staff and the relationships between them.Method 270 doctors and nurses were evaluated by General Well-Being Schedule(GWB) and Self-rated Health Measurement Scale(SRHMS).The data were given descriptive analysis,correlation and regression analysis.Result The total scores of general well-being were(115.08±15.19);total scores of self-scaled health were(335.56±45.57),scores of self-scaled physical health were(139.43±14.91),scores of self-scaled mental health were(104.96±23.33),scores of self-scaled social health were(91.17±15.94)and scores of self-scaled general health were(29.37±6.79).There are positive correlations between scores of total well-being and each subscales of self-scaled health and each health aspects(r=0.230~0.644,P0.01).Regression analysis indicates that the variables into the regression equation were psychological symptoms and negative emotions,total self-scaled health and cognitive functions.Conclusion The subjective well-being has positive correlations with personal healthy conditions and has the most close relation with mental health.
