Effect of cognitive intervention on insight in schizophrenia patients

Objective To study the effect of cognitive intervention on insight of patients with first-episode schizophrenia.Method Divide 120 patients with first-episode schizophrenia into observation group and control group equally according to their hospitalizing order.Patients in two groups receive antipsychotic treatment and routine health education.On this basis,patients in observation group receive cognitive intervention.Test patients in two groups by Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale,Insight and Treatment Attitude Questionnaire and self-designed questionnaire on compliance 8 weeks before and after intervention.Result There is no significant difference between two groups in the scores of Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale,Insight and Treatment Attitude Questionnaire and compliance questionnaire before intervention(P0.05).There is significant difference after intervention(P0.05).Conclusion Cognitive intervention can help recover the insight of patients with schizophrenia and improve the compliance.
