Basic mechanical properties of common mortar block masonry

Based on the existing standard of test method for masonry basic mechanical properties and code for design of masonry structures,the basic masonry mechanical properties of three masonry mortars were studied.The results show that block masonry compressive strength design value of three masonry mortar masonry can meet requirements which are ruled and exceed the design values 99%~116%;In the three masonry mortar,only block masonry shear strength design value of the section along continuous seam of small hollow concrete block by special masonry mortar can meet the design requirements of shear strength which are ruled and exceed the design value 78%,and its mechanism was discussed.
