Investigation on Self-consistency and Congruence Subjective Well-being and Self-esteem of Patients with Schizophrenia During Recovery

Objective To study the self-consistency, congruence, subjective well-being and self-esteem of patients with schizophrenia during recovery. Methods One hundred patients with schizophrenia during recovery and 100 normal controls were assessed with Self-esteem Scale (SES), Subjective Well-being and Self-made questionnaire (GWB), Self-consistency and Congruence Scale (SCCS).Results The scores of SES and SWB in the schizophrenia group were lower than in control group (all P0.01). The scores of self-consistency and inflexibility in the schizophrenia group were higher than in control group (all P0.01). The scores of flexibility in the schizophrenia group was lower than in control group (P0.01). Conclusion Low subjective well-being, self-esteem and false low self-consistency are characteristics of patients with schizophrenia during recovery.
