Effects of Health Education in Different Stages of Gastrointestinal Operation on Rehabilitation of the Patients

Sixty patients undergoing gastrointestinal operation were randomly divided into three groups A, B, and C, and received health education before and after operation. The walking time, time of passing gas, length of stay in hospital and the cases of complicating with pulmonary infection were observed. The results showed that the effects in group C were best. It was demonstrated that health education in appropriate time is helpful to patients' cooperation with doctors and nurses, and rehabilitation.
