Study on the Correlation between Top Management Team Heterogeneity of the Private Listed Companies and Company Performance in China

In the current economic restructuring period,whether the performance of Chinese private listed companies is affected by the characteristics of top management team has been caused great attention by the academia.Based on the relevant theories summary,the paper collects the data of 284 private listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen,and does empirical research on the correlation between top management team heterogeneity characteristics and company performance.It is found that there is a positive correlation between the age heterogeneity of top management team and company performance,and a negative correlation between the career background heterogeneity of top management team and company performance but no significant correlation between the education level heterogeneity,team tenure heterogeneity of top management team and company performance.
