Features of PQ and compensation methods of active power filter in microgrid

This paper presented a detailed analysis and summary on the features of power quality issues in microgrid.The results pointed out that the characteristic of power quality issues in Microgrid depends on the composition of micro sources,the condition of network,and the characteristic of the loads.Base on this conclusion,active power filter compensation solutions for power quality problem were introduced and then the common units in microgrid that can be used as active power filter were investigated from the aspects of structure and application area.After investigation,the combination of APF and micro source were proved to ensure APF releasing its max power quality compensation capability.Finally,it pointed out that most inverters equipped in microgrid could be effective tools for solving power quality problems.
