Analysis of the Spatial Heterogeneity of the Soil Organic Matter in Hilly Red Soil Region——A Case Study in Changsha City

Supported by GIS and RS,this paper studied the spatial heterogeneity of the soil organic matter and the relationship with land use in Changsha city. The result showed that the soil organic matter content of soil was much higher in Changsha city as a whole.The area of land with an organic matter content higher than 1.00% reached 10 328.60 km~2,constituting 87.86% of the total area.According to the spatial heterogeneity analysis,it could be concluded that the fragmentation index for each type of soil organic was small,and the maximum index was only 0.07809;while the separation index was big,and the maximum index was(0.873()2).The analysis for the relation between soil organic matter and land use showed that land use was one of the critical factors which contributed to the spatial heterogeneity of soil organic matter.
