Vibration Control for Non-Proportionally Structure Damping Systems

A vibration control method for the non-proportional structure damping system was presented.Resolving a modal damping matrix into a diagonal matrix and a off-diagonal matrix,in which the diagonal elements were equal to zero and the off-diagonal elements were seen as small value,we got the approximate real solutions of non-proportionally damped systems based on the perturbation technique.The vibration systems with non-proportional structure damping could be controlled. Numerical simulations have shown that this method has a high accuracy.This method can be used to analyze vibrations in high-rise structures of the civil engineering.
