Autoregressive model for forecasting urban daily water demand

HOU Yu-kun, LIU Sui-qing, TAO Tao(School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai 200092 China)  
In this article a methodology of autoregressive process to forecast urban daily water demand is presented. The specification of order and the calculation of autocorrelation coefficients are elaborated. On the basis of real water daily demand data in a city, the forecasting results are discussed. This method will be helpful to bring the scientific optimal operation of water supply networks.
