The Ecological Roles and Influencing Factors of Plant Root Architecture

Plant root architecture,i.e.the growth and spatial distribution of roots in the growth medium,affects the plant's growth and development directly.The article summarizes the basic concept,and the ecological roles of plant root architecture,and generalizes the influencing factors,mainly including the biology of plant roots,natural conditions and human interference.Based on the current status of research on the root architecture,the paper offers some issues which require further study in the future.
