Water Quality Assessment and Countermeasures of the Wei River at Baoji and Xianyang Section

Based on the 15-year mean monitoring data along the Wei River in Shaanxi Province,the main pollution factors DO,BOD5,COD Mn NH3-N are studied by the method of classified assessment. The results showed that the NH3-N pollution was very serious in Baoji Guo Town bridge and Xingping section,and the COD Mn pollution was most serious in Xianyang section,which was much higher than Baoji. The serious pollution occurred in 1995,1996,2002—2004. The trend of water quality has improved significantly after 2004,especially after2008. The pollution reasons are analyzed,and some corresponding countermeasures are put forward.
