Effect of Tenebrio Molitor L. Larva on the Plasma Lipid of Hyperlipemia Rats

To make sure about whether the larva of Tenebrio m olitor L. can decrease the plasma lipid level, 32 hyperlipemia rats were randomly divided into four groups: the first and the second fed with Tenebrio molitor L. larva with the mass fractions of 3% and 10% (in rat) respectively, the third fed with the drug of “Xuezhikang” with the content of 0.02 g/(kg·d -1),and the fourth—control group. The four groups were all fed with high-level lipid feed. In additio n, of the control group with natural plasma lipid, 8 rats with natural plasma lipid level were fed with Tenebrio molitor L. larva, with the mass fraction of 10% in rat. On the 14th and 18th days after the administration, the contents of TC,TG and HDL-C in the serum of the rats were assayed. The results reveal that Tenebrio molitor L. larva can remarkably restrain the increase in TC and TG (P0.05), which means significant regulating ability for plasma lipid of the larva of Tenebrio molitor L..
