Detection of Trans-Line Vehicles Based on Inductive Loop

Loop detector is one of the instruments that have been widely applied to vehicle detection.However,its accuracy is greatly affected because it fails to judge trans-line vehicles.In order to avoid the trouble,this paper ana-lyzes the detection theory of loop detector and reveals the influence of the tested frequency on the collected data according to the eddy current effect,and then deduces the data conversion formula for the tested frequencies on adjacent lanes,according to which a valuable detection method to detect trans-line vehicles is proposed based on the segmented time series pattern matching.It is proved that the presented method can effectively detect trans-line vehicles and greatly improve the accuracy and reliability of vehicle detectors.
