Screening of Genetic Markers in Pigs and Its Relationship with Production Performance

Yi Guohua Liu Xiaochun Shi Qishun (College of Animal Science and Technology,HNAU,Changsha,410128)
Studies were made, from enzyme activities and polymorphism of plasma protein,on screening of genetic markers in pigs and its application. Results obtained showed that activities of Amylase (Amy) and Alkaline phosphatase (Akp) were positively correlated with daily gain and lean ratio significantly and there were also significant effects on daily gain by genotype AB at Cp locus. So Amy activities,Akp activities and genotype AB at Cp locus are expected to be used as biochemical genetic markers applied in breeding of lean type pigs.
