The Debilitation of Recombinant Enhancin on Cotton Bollworm

The effects of recombinant enhancin P96 on the development and oviposition of cotton bollworm,Helicoverpa armigera,were studied in the laboratory.The results show that the larvae of cotton bollworm developed significantly slowly after treated with P96, and the weight of pupal survivals is declined remarkably by 4.90%~5.21% and the fecundity of adult survivals is lessen remarkably by 52.62%~65.68%, compared with those of control. This strong debilitation of P96 on the development of cotton bollworm should be another synergy mechanism of recombinant enhancin.
