Correlation between smoke particle constituent and smoking quality in flue-cured tobacco leaf

The correlation between smoke particle constituent and smoking quality were studied by detecting the content of smoke particle constituent,and assessing quantitatively smoking quality with 197 flue-cured tobacco samples,including B2F,C3F and X2F,from tobacco-growing areas of Hunan Provine,and adopting the analysis way of bivariate correlation,canonical correlation and grey correlation.The results of bivariate correlation showed that there was an extremely significant and positive correlation between smoke particle constituent and the score of smoke consistence,and aroma volume;there was an extremely significant and negative correlation between smoke particle constituent and the score of aroma quality,offensive odor,physiological strength,irritancy,after-taste;There was a significant and negative correlation between smoke moisture and the score of ash color.The results of canonical correlation showed that there was an extrenely significant correlation between the tar inder in smoke particle constituent and the smoking quality evaluation index:smoke consistence,aroma volume,and irritancy.In the first place,the smoke particle constituent had effects on smoke consistence,next on aroma volume.
