THE THEORY OF ECOLOGICAL-GENETICAL STER1LITY AND HYBRID CROPS PRO-DUCED BY TWO-LINE METHOD1.THE METHOD FOR SELECTING ECOLOGICAL-GENETICAL MALE-STERILE LINES

The main method for selecting ecological-genetical male-sterile lines is to grow the segregated generations from distant hybridization,induced mutation or male sterility transfomation according to the ecological requirement for developing male organs of a crop variety under the conditions of developing male sterility,to find the male-sterile plants and force them self-pollination or change the ecological conditions to get the self-pollinated seeds from the tardy flowers,then grow all the generations under the normal conditions and select the fine fertile plants until their agronomic characters become stable,finally to cbserve and identify the male-sterility of the stable lines above-mentioned on the environment for develo-ping male sterility and select those having thorough sterility and suitable for cross pollina-tion。
