The Comparison between Fertility and Quality for Tobacco-rice Rotation Soil and Rice-rice Rotation Soil in Tabacco-planting Areas of Southern Hunan

The mixed soil samples of topsoil and layered soil samples of section were collected from tobacco-rice rotation paddyfield and rice-rice rotation paddyfield at Changning, Jianghua and Xintian in the Southern Hunan, which are from the same parent material and in the same topographic position. A comparative study was conducted to soil fertility of tobacco-rice rotation paddyfield and rice-rice rotation paddyfield. The results indicated that the tobacco-rice rotation soil and rice-rice rotation soil have no significant difference in the contents of organic matte, total N, total P, total K, available N and pH of soil, but the contents of available P and available K in tobacco-rice rotation soil were higher than that in rice-rice rotation soil. The contents of organic matte, total N, alkaline hydrolysis N, total P, available P and available K in soil profile mostly decrease with increasing depth of soil, but the changes of total K and pH becomes complicated.
