Fungal activator proteins are a new class of proteins isolated from fungi with elicitor function, which can promote plant growth by improving the stress resistance of many plants, and also increase the active components in crops and improve their quality. Took a case of Magnaporthe grisea activation protein as example, this paper reviews and prospects the functions and mechanisms of activator proteins in promoting crop growth and disease resistance, provides new ideas and methods for promoting green ecology, reducing the use of chemical pesticides and promoting food and drug safety.
