Studies on Optimization Growth Model for Leaf Area Index of Flue-cured Tobacco

Based on the data of flue-cured tobacco leaf area index change under different soil moisture,the growth models of tobacco leaf area index was studied.The results indicated that changes of leaf area index under different water conditions showed a single-peak curve,but no significant difference was found among soil water treatments.Universal growth model could simulate changes of leaf area index efficiently,but the simulation effect and correlation coefficients between the simulated and observed values of exponential growth model were better than that of universal growth model.It suggested that exponential growth model was more optimum to simulate leaf area index of flue-cured tobacco.
