Study of Comprehensive Evaluation of Agricultural Water Resources Utilization Efficiency in the Yellow River Basin

To evaluate water resources utilization efficiency( WRUE) of the Yellow River basin and its provinces,this paper built the evaluation index system according to experts' advice and practical data,and employed an entropy method to calculate indexes weight,then made the comparative analysis according to the calculation results. The results show that there were less difference between indexes weight based on entropy method,which showed that indexes not only were concentrated in reaction WRUE,but had similar effect. For the 9 provinces( regions) of Yellow River basin,Shanxi,Shandong,Henan and Shanxi's WRUE were higher,Gansu,Sichuan and Inner Mongolia were medium,and Ningxia( area)was significantly lower. The WRUE was closely related to the Yellow River diversion water quantity,rural infrastructure and irrigation management mechanisms. Diversion water quantity's reducing caused water amount's decline on agriculture in the country's water tune; agricultural infrastructure's weakness directly lead to agricultural water resource waste; inadequate irrigation management mechanism made agricultural water's unreasonable use and lower utilization efficiency.
