Competitive Liberalization Strategy of International Trade in Digitally-Delivered Content Products——Base on the Perspective of America

Guo Peng;
As the proposal of free trade in digitally-delivered content products was denied within theWTO, the U.S. is maximizing the competitive liberalization of digital trade by promoting bilateral, regional andmultilateral free trade agreements. The U.S.-driven parallel digital trade negotiations help the U.S. to constructan international free trade regulatory framework of digitally-delivered content products as competitiveliberalization strategy. In positioning for the international digital trade regulation, China can follow the E.U.resistance and reservation policy in digital trade liberalization, and also employ a series of Chinese fundamentalinstitutional ideas based on national interests like the U.S. approach.
