The Dissemination of the Culture of European Renaissance in China in the Period of the Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasties

The era of European Renaissance from the late 14th century to the middle of the 17th century corresponded with the period form the late Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty,which witnessed the turn form the Chinese feudal culture to the modern thought. It remains a matter not yet fully investigated in the academic circle whether the Renaissance culture was already introduced into China at that time. Now the author is trying to make some comments in this paper on the dissemination of Renaissance culture in China in that period in terms of astronomy, mathematics, mining engineering, physiology, geography and art according to the data he has collected.
