The Model for Estimating the External Turbulent Boundary Layer Mass Transfer Coefficient of Emulsion Globules

According to the characteristics of liquid surfactant membranes, combining penetrate theory and local isotropic in an agitated vessel, we consider the effects of the interfacial area, the physical properties of two-phase liquids and the operation parameters on the external turbulent boundary layer. Then a model for estimating the external turbulent boundary layer mass transfer coefficient of emulsion globules is presented. With this model, the predicted values are in good agreement with both our and cited experimental values.
