Correlation Analysis Between Poverty Incidence and Habitat Degradation in Guizhou Province

In order to explore the correlation between poverty incidence and habitat degradation,taking Guizhou province as an example,we evaluated the habitat degradation degree in the entire province using the InVEST model. Then,the spatial correlation between poverty incidence and habitat degradation was analyzed using the GoeDa model. Our results are as follows:(1) There was clear space heterogeneity for poverty incidence and habitat degradation in 2010. Poverty incidences in east,west and south parts were higher than those in north and central parts. Habitat degradation degree in midwest was higher than that in southeast and south parts.(2) There was a negative correlation between poverty incidence and habitat degradation. High-low group and low-high group were the main types. A higher poverty incidence in administrative region had a lower habitat degradation degree.The high-low group and low-high group were located in southeast and central part for bivariate LISA cluster map of poverty incidence with habitat degradation. The different spatial pattern of poverty grade and human land use types are the main reasons resulting in the negative correlation between poverty incidence and habitat degradation.
