The reconstructing mode of land use in mountain areas in Pinggu and its ecological environmental impact

By means of the documentary method,the field-investigating method, and the method for synthetical analysis, we investigated the staus quo of land use in Pinggu District of Beijing in line with the land use map in 2002 and the 1:10000 remote sensing image in May 2000, synthetically analyzing the feasibility of sustainable and effective land using mode in mountain areas and discussing its ecological environmental impact. The results show that both the mode of effectively sightseeing economic forests and the mode of economic ecological forests are better ones,and that it is very necessary to carry out EEIA for land use reconstruction in mountain areas.Therefore, in this process we should change natural secondary shrubbery in lower mountains into economic ecological forests by plant grafting for reducing soil and water loss,by building rain-collecting projects to make up for the shortage of water during drought, popularizing water-saving irrigation to use water effectively, as well as optimizing the structure of land use in mountain areas and taking ecological measures to prevent agricultural non-point pollution,etc.
