Based on the collected data of itinerary from the travel agency's official website in China, itinerary patterns, spatial distribution, tourist destination types and roles of Hainan Island were analyzed in frequency analysis and one-way ANOVA analysis. The results show that tourists tend to choose regional travel model with multiple destinations and single destination with high reputation, which is significantly shown in Haikou and Sanya. Different itinerary patterns of Hainan Island attract different customers. Tourist destination nodes of Hainan Island have their own roles in itinerary patterns, which is decided by the resources endowment, services condition and traffic conditions, etc. Compared with tourism resources of eastern areas of Hainan Island, the westpart is also rich in tourism resources, which is unknown to many people. As the vigorous development of "traveling + buying" travel, the duty-free shopping tourism will becomes another tourist attraction on Hainan Island.
