CT Diagnosis of Childhood Intussusception

【Objective】To study CT features and clinical value in intussusception of childhood.【Methods】 The CT features and causes of disease were analyzed in 48 cases with 49 foci of intussusception in childhood.【Results】 There were 40 cases of primary intussusception in childhood and 8 cases of secondary one,among them,Meckel diverticula in 3 cases,intestine polys in 5 cases.The type of intussusception: small intestine-small intestine in 6 cases,ileum-colon ascendens in 35 cases,colon-colon in 5 cases,ileum-ileum-colon ascendens in 2 cases.Masses were found in 48 cases with 49 foci of intussusception in childhood,including layering target masses in 37 cases with 38 foci,renal shape masses in 7 cases.anomaly masses in 4 cases.【Conclusion】 Intussusception in childhood has classical CT features,CT examination can diagnose childhood intussusception correctly,and provide information for selecting treatment plan.
