Affection of Boswellia Carterii Birdw on Telomerase Activityexpression in HL60 Cells

To investigate the regulatary effects of Boswellia Caterii Birdw(BCB)on telomerase activity expression in leukemic cells line HL60 cells.Felomerase activity of HL60 cells was detected using talomeric repeat amplificaion protocol(TRAP)and DNA lectrophoresis assay.Results:Both BCB and All-trans retinoic acid(ATRA)could down-regulat telomerese activity of HL60 cells.BCB had the time and concentration dependent down-regulat relomerese activity of HL60 cells.Conxluaion BCB could down-regulat telomerese activity of HL60 cells and the effect of BCB on telomerase activity in HL60 cells was similar to that of ATRA.
