Rule of Differentiation and Treatment of Coronary Heart Disease from the Point of View of Insufficiency of Yang and Endogenous Excess of Yin Pathogens(阳微阴弦)

Mao Dexi Henan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Zhengzhou(450002)
“Insufficiency of Yang and endogenous excess of Yin pathogens”is originated from the Chapter——Differentiation of Abnormal Pulse and Treatment of Obstruction of Qi in the Chest,Precordial Pain with Shortness of Breath in Synopsis of Prescriptions of Golden Chamber.“Insufficiency of Yang”means deficiency in vital Qi;“Excess of Yin(阴弦)”refers to endogenous excess of Yin pathogens.Yang and Yin mentioned here should not be explained in a narrow sense as“Yang Qi”and “Coldness of Yin”,but as vital Qi and pathogenic factor which results in coronary heart disease. In the modern times the study of traditional Chinese medicine on coronary heart disease is mainly based on the theory of pathogenic mechanism of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis, the therapeutic principle is supplementing Qi and promoting blood circulation, combined with regulating Yin and Yang, resoving phlegm and regulating the flow of Qi.The theory of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis can be regarded as a new explanation to"insufficiency of Yang and endogenous excess of Yin pathogens,as well as a rule of differentiation and treatment of coronary heart disease,on which a further study should be made.
