On the Application of High-density Method in Testing the Flaws of Hongwei Reservoir Earth-rockfill Dam

High-density resistance method is applied extensively in mining and exploration owing to its great density,high efficiency,abundant information,high-differentiation rate and high intelligence.In addition,it has a promising prospect with respect to testing earth-rockfill dams' latent flaws.This paper reviews the current researches home and abroad and introduces the principles of applying high-density resistance method to testing dams' flaws.The principles are formed by 2D finite element method to simulate and picturize the gathered data.By testing Chongqing Hongwei Reservior's dam and analyzing its testing results,this study finds that the testing results nearly accord to the actual results.Relevant suggestions are put forward on the basis of the above-mentioned results.This study concludes that this method is a really good and feasible way which is cost-saving and highly-efficient.
