Geological characteristics of rich iron deposits of Gangdese,Tibet

The Gandese volcano-magmatic arc belt,Tibet,has advantageous geological conditions for the occurrence of rich iron mineral resources.There are numbers of verified rich iron deposits such as Zhanyan,Dangqu,Leqingla,Nixong,Yula,Zhoume, Anuo,Caima,Fuye and so on,which are hopeful to become a replacement base of rich iron ores in our country.Basing on the analysis of geological characteristics and mineralization prospects of the belt,the authors consider that the further prospecting work on the rich iron ores of the belt should be strengthened and propose relevant suggestions,too.
