Application of Combined Energy Dissipation by Setting Narrow Bottom Seam in the Low Dam of Qiaogong Hydropower Project

Abstrcat The energy dissipation by combining contracted type and ski-jump, bottom current and bucket type have been widely used in high dam projects, and its recent application in medium height dam projects also has good effects. For the low dam in Qiaogong hydropower station, a hydraulic model test is done by applying the contracted type and bucket type combined dissipation. The test result not only indicated an obvious energy dissipation effect, but also a self-cleaning capacity of the bucket against bed load.
