Design and On-orbit application of CCD Camera on HJ-1A/1B Satellites

The CCD camera on HJ-1A/1B satellites is used to obtain 4-band multispectral images with a ground sampling distance(GSD) of 30m and swath of 700km.Since the data generated by the camera were firstly sent back to the Earth on Sept.8,2008,the camera has worked well up to now,and large quantities of photos for disaster detection and environment protection have been sent back.In the paper,the design principle and the design result of the camera are introduced.
